Prehospital Trauma Symposium
On the 22-24 February Mountain Trauma Rescue Services hosted the first Prehospital Trauma Symposium in Ambleside, Cumbria.
This event consisted of a range of presentations and practical workshops, delivered by experts in their subjects. Friday's theme was remote trauma and rescue, Saturday focused on major incidents and Sunday focused on major trauma.
The Symposium was for anyone responsible for providing trauma care in a prehospital setting from doctors and paramedics to volunteer rescue services. In addition to learning more about the latest trauma research delegates learnt how multi-agencies deal with trauma victims and also gave those who attended a great networking opportunity.
A full programme and descriptions of speakers can be found at www.traumasymposium.co.uk. College of Paramedics and Mountain Rescue Teams received a 30% discount on delegate costs.
This was a fantastic, interactive CPD opportunity set within the beautiful Lake District. Visit our website for further event information http://www.mountaintrauma.co.uk/
