Chris Cox
Chris Cox is a distinguished orthotist renowned for his contributions to biomechanics and orthotics. He graduated with a first-class honours degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the University of Strathclyde, where he currently serves as a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
In his role at Strathclyde University, Mr. Cox is involved in organizing and delivering courses related to prosthetics and orthoticsHis commitment to education has been recognized with multiple accolades, including the Strathclyde Teaching Excellence Award for Best Overall in 2020.
Beyond academia, Mr. Cox actively engages in international presentations, sharing his expertise with the global community. He has delivered lectures and workshops at various conferences and seminars, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in biomechanics and orthotics. His involvement in such events underscores his dedication to the field and his commitment to fostering international collaboration.
In addition to his academic and international endeavors, Mr. Cox maintains a private practice at The Treatment Hub, which operates clinics in Hamilton and Glasgow. At The Treatment Hub, he collaborates with a team of specialists to provide comprehensive biomechanical assessments and custom orthotic solutions. His work in the private sector complements his academic pursuits, allowing him to apply research findings directly to patient care.
Through his multifaceted career encompassing teaching, research, international engagement, and private practice, Chris Cox has made significant contributions to the field of orthotics, impacting both the academic community and patient care.
