These features are provided to facilitate professional collaboration, community engagement, and CPD-related dialogue between you, CPDme, other members, and in some cases, the general public.
By using these services, you agree to engage lawfully, respectfully, and responsibly, and to use the Communication Services only to post, send, and receive content and messages that are appropriate, professional, and relevant to the nature of the CPDme platform.

At CPDme, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainable business practices across all areas of our operations.
We operate as a predominantly digital organisation (85%), with all staff utilising secure cloud-based systems via iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks to manage both internal and external communications. This helps us reduce our reliance on paper, energy, and physical storage.
CPD portfolios are sent electronically via email as standard, including digital hyperlinks to certificates and evidence, helping to cut down on paper usage and postal emissions.
Printed portfolios are available by request only, and are always produced using 100% recycled paper from sustainably managed forests.
To minimise our carbon footprint:
We operate hot desk models across flexible office spaces to reduce unnecessary energy usage (electricity, gas, water).
Office resources are kept minimal to promote a clean, safe, and energy-efficient work environment.
We avoid bulk ordering of stationery or marketing materials from external printers. Instead:
All letterheads, compliment slips, flyers and business cards are designed and printed in-house on demand. This prevents waste, avoids outdated materials, and reduces storage needs.
Where possible, we use non-window envelopes to ensure full recyclability and reduce waste.
We apply the following best practices daily:
Print only when necessary – we do not print emails or internal documents unless essential.
We send electronic files to clients and partners wherever possible.
All recyclable materials including paper, cardboard, toner cartridges, and packaging are disposed of through appropriate recycling channels.
Environmental awareness is embedded in the way we work. As we continue to innovate and grow, we do so with sustainability at the heart of our decision-making—ensuring we leave a lighter footprint on the planet, every step of the way.
If you would like a printed version of your portfolio or CPD materials, we’re happy to support you with a sustainable option, just ask.
Here at CPDme, we often give away some gifts and books as part of our marketing strategy. It's better to support our customers and attendees of webinars to support and market our business than to pay BIG organisations to pester you on social media with paid per click adverts!

MODERN SLAVERY / ANTI-SLAVERY POLICY STATEMENT
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
CPDme / CPDteams has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.
We are also committed to ensuring there is transparency in our own business and in our approach to tackling modern slavery throughout our supply chains, consistent with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Organisations using CPDme through our CPDteams or Multiple Membership Management (MMM) service (e.g. employers, governing bodies, or educational institutions) agree to the following terms regarding the management and use of staff CPD accounts:
CPDteams is designed to enable authorised personnel within your organisation (e.g. managers, supervisors, training leads) to view, support, and monitor the CPD activity of staff members. This access is intended to:
Facilitate engagement with CPD
Support compliance with professional development standards
Provide oversight and reporting for governance and audit purposes
CPDme only provides the digital infrastructure and secure platform access for both individual members and their organisation. CPDme is not responsible for how an employer or third party uses, interprets, or acts upon CPD data within their team.
By accepting these terms:

Individual staff users acknowledge that their organisation may have access to their CPD log for oversight and support purposes.

Personal members can manage visibility and permissions within their account settings at any time.
This protection does not apply to staff accounts provided through CPDteams or an MMM agreement where organisational access is a condition of the license.
CPDteams member accounts are provided at the discretion of the purchasing organisation. An organisation may, at any time and for any reason (including role changes, contract expiry, or non-compliance with internal CPD policy), choose to exclude or remove individual users from its corporate CPDme platform. When this occurs, the individual will no longer have access to CPDme via the corporate account.
In such cases, the individual will be given the opportunity to transition to a personal membership plan at the current published rate (monthly or annual). This ensures continued access to their CPD records, certificates, and portfolio history without data loss.
Likewise, individuals may voluntarily request to be removed from a corporate/CPDteams account at any time and opt to continue using CPDme independently via a personal membership. This must be done by contacting CPDme in writing from their registered email address, after which a secure migration of data to a personal account will be arranged.

CPDme actively encourages the sharing of educational, evidence-based, and professional content across our website and social media channels. These platforms are designed to support CPD, lifelong learning, and networking for health and social care professionals.
While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the information shared, clinical practice evolves rapidly. As such:
Content shared via CPDme should be considered as informational and supplementary only.
It should not replace formal training, clinical supervision, or regulatory guidance.
No real patient should be treated solely based on information found on CPDme platforms.
All material is intended to encourage critical thinking, further study, and the development of personal portfolios aligned with recognised standards of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
All users of CPDme content—whether courses, webinars, or social media material—are reminded that:
Clinical decisions and delegated tasks must only be made by qualified, competent individuals acting within their legal scope of practice.
Skills, techniques, or procedures referenced via CPDme must not be applied unless:
You have received formal training
You are operating within current evidence-based guidance
You are legally authorised and insured to perform the task in your clinical setting
No liability is accepted by CPDme, its presenters, or affiliates for any harm, injury, misconduct, or error resulting from misuse or misinterpretation of shared educational materials.
We expect all users engaging with CPDme’s platforms to conduct themselves with respect, professionalism, and integrity. To support this:
Social media should be used as a tool to inform, share, and grow, not for personal attacks, unconstructive criticism, or misuse.
Always remain polite and professional, even when disagreeing. Constructive discourse is encouraged; offensive or harmful behaviour is not.
Posts must remain relevant to the topic and must add value to the discussion.
Zero tolerance applies to any content or interaction that is:
Discriminatory, abusive, harassing, or defamatory
Related to politics, religion, race, sexual content, or hate speech
Misleading, spam-based, or commercially exploitative
Any such breach may result in immediate removal from CPDme platforms, revocation of membership, and, where necessary, reporting to professional regulators or legal authorities.
All members and followers of CPDme are expected to:
Fully understand and comply with our social media and content guidelines
Be aware that this policy is subject to change as new digital tools and regulations emerge
Check back periodically to stay updated on the latest standards
Non-compliance may result in restricted platform access, suspension of membership, or legal consequences depending on the nature of the breach.
Many healthcare titles—such as Paramedic, Midwife, Radiographer, and Social Worker—are legally protected under UK law and regulated by governing bodies such as the HCPC, NMC, GMC, and Social Work England.
CPDme takes the misuse of protected titles very seriously.
Individuals falsely claiming a professional status or using a regulated title without registration will be reported to the appropriate regulatory authority.
As a member of the public, you have the right to verify whether a healthcare professional is registered and legally permitted to practice. CPDme supports this transparency in all our content and membership monitoring.
CPDme was founded to promote excellence in professional development. We support members in:
Documenting CPD effectively
Navigating professional registration and career progression
Gaining access to high-quality learning content aligned with regulatory expectations
All references to qualifications, courses, or educational content are made with the understanding that these complement, not replace, the formal education, accreditation, or registration requirements established by approved universities and statutory bodies.
