PHOTON: Results of the TT-PHEA & HEMS Service Evaluation (WWN) Studies

Presented by Dr. J. Turner, Dr. H. Tucker & Dr. M. O'Meara

DATE

Thursday 23rd May 2019 - 8PM

DESCRIPTION

PHOTON is a trainee led research network undertaking multi-centre collaborative pre-hospital research and service improvement. We have two national projects currently underway, TT-PHEA & WWN, and we look forward to discussing the results of these and how you can get involved with our future projects.

The "Time to Pre-Hospital Emergency Anaesthesia" (TT-PHEA) project is looking at a number of factors influencing time to PHEA across the UK from April 2017 – April 2018. We will discuss our performance against the NICE major trauma targets, areas of excellent practice and where we can focus our efforts nationally to enhance care.

The “Where are We Now” (WWN) project is a service evaluation questionnaire with the aim of gaining a better understanding of the pre-hospital critical care offered by HEMS in the United Kingdom. We have reviewed current practice throughout the UK to identify any trends in clinical practice and governance, and are excited to present our findings.
